This page is intended to keep our Merton Williams families informed about upcoming events, testing dates, year end activities, etc. I hope to keep it updated by inviting teachers in our building to edit my page and add their own information pertinent to their teams. One problem I foresee already is allowing easy access to parents, which would involve making an email list of hundreds of addresses. Any suggestions? Maybe we could ask parents to let their child's team know their email, then it could be collected by team. Possibly this could be a summer project for me and a start of something new in Fall 2007.

We could link this to the new Merton Williams Counseling Website and use it as the forum for calendar events as there is a calendar section on the counseling website that we can put all of those events on as well. I think the format of the wiki may be useful for describing curriculum content areas for parents and providing student examples. I am sure there are students who would be willing to post their work as examples in each of the core and encore areas. That would be a pretty interesting collaborative process as I am sure parents would want to actually see what theor child is doing and/or examples of what their child is supposed to be doing for assignments, etc.

and link student work to each category

If not, maybe we can create a different wiki off of the counseling website. What do you think?
